In 1997 'Titanic' came out in theaters and I was OB-SESSED.

Two years earlier I learned all about the Titanic in school and was utterly fascinated by it. I was ten when the movie came out, which means I was just old enough to appreciate Leonardo DiCaprio's hotness.

I went to see it FOUR times.

I plastered my walls with pictures of Leo & Kate, bought half a dozen books on the infamous shipwreck and blasted the soundtrack endlessly from my boom box.

My father, who has always had a major aversion to the musical stylings of Celine Dion, threatened to put me up for adoption if he was forced to listen to 'My Heart Will Go On' one more time.

That was the last time I was THIS in love with a movie.

'A Star is Born' is simply incredible.

Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga are sensational in it.

Now, while I've always sang along to Gaga's songs and appreciated her messages about embracing your own individuality, I've never considered myself a Little Monster, as her fan-base calls themselves.

I would however, call myself a Mini-Cooper.

I've loved Bradley for years. He's obviously gorgeous but my love for him grew once I had learned he was an Eagles fan that grew up 25 minutes from me.

It was also then that I sparked the delusion that I had a chance with him.

I always told my mother if we ever met we'd hit it off. I was sure of it.

His recent dating history at the time supported my delusion. He had dated Renee Zellweger (willing to date a real looking woman) and Suki Waterhouse (willing to date someone much younger).

Then he met Irina Shayk and my dreams were shattered.

I mean, it's just not even fair how attractive this woman is.

Long, dark hair. Piercing green eyes. Full lips, perfect teeth. Her body...UGH. She's a Victoria Secret angel, I'll just leave it at that.

If you've ever heard Bradley in an interview you know he's not a douchey, shallow actor which means that for him to date Irina, not only does she have legs for days, that b*tch probably has a heart of gold also.

I have since come to terms with the fact that we will never be.

Now, back to the movie.

There are countless things to commend this film on but I have one favorite moment.

No, it's not the fact that Bradley legit CHANGED HIS VOICE for this film.

Or that it was his first time directing and the movie is a masterpiece. (I'm still outraged by his Oscar snub for Best Director!)

Or that it was Gaga's first time in a film, ever, and she's completely effortless.

It wasn't that Bradley really sings in it. (And well!)

Nor was it that Bradley used his own dog, Charlie in the film. (Who I must say, was also a total natural!)

Bradley Cooper's dog, Charlie in A Star is Born.

It wasn't their duet, which is chill educing and still being played on repeat in my car.

Or the final performance that will move you to tears.

It wasn't the attention the film brings to substance abuse and mental health issues. (Which is so amazing!)

It was this...

This quote that Bradley's character says in the beginning of the film:

Everybody's talented, fucking everyone in this bar is talented at one thing or another. But having something to say and a way to say it so that people listen to it, that's a whole other bag. And unless you get out and you try to do it, you'll never know. That's just the truth. And there's one reason we're supposed to be here, it's to say something so people want to hear.

It's a message I keep receiving. We are all put on this earth with unique and special gifts. It is our purpose in life to figure out what they are and to share them with with world.

I gotta tell ya, I didn't foresee getting that message drilled in my head a little deeper by my ex-future husband, Bradley Cooper playing a drunk musician in the fourth remake of a film.

But I did and I'm listening.
